Elmer L. Carr, 56, of Chillicothe, died at 8:47a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at a family residence. He was born on July 31, 1957 in Knoxville TN, the son of Mayford and Delitha Hall Carr. On October 7, 1980 he married the former Sharon McDaniel who survives.

Also surviving are his father, Mayford Carr of Dayton, four children, James (Leah) McDaniel of Chillicothe, Chasity McDaniel of Lima, Shelbie (Kyle) Harden of Carey OH, Cobina McDaniel of Chillicothe, fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lyla Pearson of Burnet TX, Delitha (Steve) Tannreuther of Dayton, one brother, Eddie (Debra) Carr of Dayton, one half brother, Otis Carr of Dayton, and his mother and father-in-law, Shelby (Butch) Ward of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his mother Delitha Carr and an infant brother, Teddy Lynn Carr.

Elmer worked as a truck driver for Active USA. He was an avid sports fan, and loved fishing, and racing, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr.. Elmer attended Maple Grove Christian Union Church.

Friends may visit with the Carr family in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 5 to 7p.m., and a funeral service will follow at 7p.m. with Pastor Brett Smith officiating. In accordance with Elmer's wishes, cremation will follow.
