Ernest "Tub" Evans

Ernest "Tub" Evans 78 of Bainbridge, died 4:55 am Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born February 11, 1937 in Kentucky the son of the late Seth and Iva Parrish Evans. On February 18, 1961 he married Jeany Herman, who survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Cinda (Doug) Knisley; grandchildren, Jered (Rachel Bray) Knisley and Elizabeth (Gage McFadden) Knisley; great grandchildren, Emma Grace Knisley and Ethan Matthews; brothers, Daniel (Ruth Ann) Evans and Robert (Jeanie) Evans; special sister-in-law, Cat Elliott and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Evans and a sister, Lucy Pauline Evans.

He was a longtime member of the Operators Local 18B and later in life he really enjoyed running his sawmill and raising standard bread horses on his farm. But most of all Tub adored his grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 1 pm Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Pastor Matt Brookes officiating. Friends may visit with Tub's family from 11 am until the time of service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Paxton Area Life Squad Box 614 Bainbridge.
