Ethel Grooms 78 of Leesburg died 2:28 pm Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Greenfield Area Medical Center. She was born September 16, 1931 in Pike County the daughter of the late Rufus and Hazel Vandermark Williamson.
On January 10, 1948 she married George E. Grooms who died July 31, 1999.
Surviving are 5 children, Letty (Donnie) Bonham of Washington Court House, Roxanne Shade of Greenfield, Carolyn (Larry) Leach of New Holland, Jerry (Linda) Grooms of Frankfort and Jeff Grooms (Lisa) of Leesburg; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by 2 sons, George Grooms, Jr. and Danny Grooms and 3 sisters.
Ethel loved her grandchildren and her dogs.
Graveside services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of the service at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, Bainbridge.
