Evelyn Louise Humphries

Evelyn Louise Humphries 85, departed this life for her heavenly home on October 8, 2014. She was born near Spargursville, OH on April 5, 1929 (on her father's birthday) to George and Callie Valentine Anderson, who preceded her in death.

Evelyn was married to Clinton Humphries at Leethville, OH in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1980. In addition to her husband, two brothers, Keith and Edward Anderson and son-in-law Charles Russell Moore preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children, Shirley A. Humphries and Diana Keaton of Cynthiana, Donald (Brenda) Humphries of Bainbridge and Richard (Teresa) Humphries of Greenfield; grandchildren and step grandchildren, Timothy, James and Thomas (Dorothy) Keaton, Jason (Janene) Humphries, Lori (Matt) Myers, Joseph (Jennifer) Humphries, Sandra (Greg) Swilling, Leon (Tina) Elliott, Mindy (Jason) Conklin, Chasity (Shane) Looney and Bridget (Jeffrey) Humphries; great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, Clinton and Tesa Keaton, Blake Ison, Norah and Benjamin Myers, Tyler, Logan and Ashton Humphries, Gage and Gavin Swilling, Alexia and Aiden Elliott, Chloe, Austin and Mallory Conklin, Katlyn and Merissa Hughes and Jeffrey Humphrey III; sisters, Georgia Anderson and Darlene (Mike) Schreck of Cynthiana and Naomi (Elbert) Grooms of Latham; sisters-in-law, Jessie Humphries of Flemingsburg, KY and Laura Humphries Sinking Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn lived in the Cynthiana Community for 60 years. She was a loving mother and homemaker, who raised a big garden. Evelyn also took pride in hanging out the whitest wash in town.

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Rev. John Wayne Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Cynthiana Cemetery. The Humphries family will receive family and friends from 12:30 pm until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
