Firme Loreen Collins

Firme Loreen Collins went to her eternal rest on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in Ocala, FL. She was born September 8, 1920 in Chillicothe, OH daughter of Harvey and Catherine (Goodin) Shoemaker.

She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin E. Collins after 68 years of marriage.

Firme is survived by her only child, Marvin “Larry” Collins, wife Carolyn of Ocala, FL; granddaughter, Catherine L. Collins, St. Louis, MO., grandson, Christopher S. Collins, wife, Marilyn and two great grandsons, Christopher James and Adam Scott Collins of Richmond, VA. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Firme was predeceased by brothers, Harold, Clifford, William, Dean and Roy Shoemaker as well as sisters, Freda Walls, Jenny Shoemaker, Dora Miller, Faye Rinehart, and Donna Salley.

Firme lived her entire life in Chillicothe, retiring from Wear-ever Aluminum in 1983. She moved to Ocala, FL in 2014 to live with her son and daughter- in- law. Firme will forever be remembered as a gracious person with a kind and loving heart.

There will be a graveside service in Twin Township Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1 pm with Firme’s granddaughter Chaplin Catherine Collins officiating.
