Florence A. Spriggs, 98, of Frankfort, died at 7:18 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 27, 1915 in South Webster, Ohio, the daughter of the late George W. and Lena Nar Shope. On January 18, 1933 she married Lloyd Spriggs and he preceded her in death in 1963.
Florence is survived by her children; Betty (James) Ackley of Frankfort, Janet Potter of London, Edward (Vicki) Spriggs of Chillicothe, Art Spriggs of Stoutsville, Rick (Tara) Spriggs of Douglasville, Georgia, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Ruth Spriggs of Cleveland and a special friend; Paula Weaver of Stoutsville. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law; Joan (Donald) Kindall, son; Donald Spriggs, daughter-in-law; Linda Spriggs, sisters; Sylvia Gabbard, Lena Mae Martin, brothers; George, Arthur, and Ralph Shope.
Florence was baptized in the London Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a member of Greenfield congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family would like to thank the Heartland Hospice of Circleville for their service and care, especially, Kathy Keaton and Amanda Everhart.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Brother John Shoemaker of Greenfield Kingdom Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with the Spriggs family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
