Floyd F. "Sno" Ater, 76, of Frankfort, died at 4:10a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2016 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on November 11, 1939 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Clarence and Ora Burlile Ater. On June 3, 1961 he married the former Opal Rosetta "Rosie" Lee, who preceded him in death on October 17, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald (Carol) Ater, Mark (Shannon) Ater, both of Frankfort, four grandchildren, Dustin, Josh, Brock (Leanna) Cody Ater, one great-grandchild, Connor Ater, two sisters, Joy Neiberline of Frankfort, Karen Neiberline of Chillicothe, one brother, Benny Ater of Waverly, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Louella, Mary Catherine, Annalee, Patricia, and Pauline, and three brothers, Maynard, Harry and James.
Sno was a 1958 graduate of Clarksburg High School. He worked as a meat cutter for Big Bear for 27 years.
Friends may visit with Floyd's family in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Sunday, July 31, 2016, from 6 to 8p.m.. A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
