Floyd Ackley "Pete" Hanna

Floyd Ackley "Pete" Hanna, 78, of Bainbridge OH passed from this life 4:30 AM Saturday, July 21,2012 at his residence, following a brief battle with Cancer.

He was born February 1, 1934, in Pickerington OH, to the late Floyd A" Pete" Hanna and Marion Bowers Hanna. Floyd is survived by his wife of 26 years, the former Ruth Cawley Livingston; daughters, Karen (Terry) Horn, Pleasantville OH and Melanie Hanna, Columbus
OH; stepchildren, Brian (Ann) Livingston, Canal Winchester OH, Connie (Mike) Crosby and Bruce Livingston, both of Laurelville OH; 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren; sisters Marilyn Johnson, Newark OH and Garnette Hanna, Linden VA and many nieces and nephews. Floyd was predeceased by his first wife, Janet Richter and son, Kevin Ackley Hanna.

Floyd graduated from Berne Union High School, Sugar Grove OH, in 1952. He was a Baseball Pitcher during his High School years and signed a professional contract to play and Pitch for the St Louis Browns. He also served in the U. S. Air Force. He retired from the U.S. Post Office after 34 yrs. of service in 1992, then worked at PICCA, Circleville OH for 5 years,

Floyd was a Deacon at the Bainbridge Church of Christ and First Vice President of the Bainbridge Senior Citizens He Loved Music and played the Organ, Guitar, Violin and Saxophone. He also had a beautiful Singing Voice. His favorite hobby was Trap Shooting with his team "The Boys" and especially Shooting with his best friend Bob Richardson. Floyd was a very Loving Father, Grandfather and Husband.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Bainbridge Church of Christ with Bob Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Church. The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge, OH is serving the family.
