Forrest Ragland, Jr., 67, of Frankfort, died at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Saturday, June 26, 1954, in Ross County, the son of the late Forrest M. and Faywon Wright Ragland.
Forrest is survived by his daughter, Brynne (R.J.) Gravely of Chillicothe, son, Derek Ragland of Chillicothe, four grandchildren, Darius, Daimerion, Keyana, Aviana, sister, Becky (George) Locklear of Oberlin, brother, Walter “Tim” (Sonia) Ragland of Chillicothe, special friend, Dina Ragland, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Loren A. Ragland, and niece, Kiah Ragland.
Forrest was a graduate of Adena High School. He later served in the United States Army, where he served his country during Vietnam. Forrest loved to be outdoors. Whether he was hunting or fishing in his favorite pontoon boat, Forrest was happiest outside.
A visitation to celebrate Forrest’s life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 6 to 7:45 p.m., in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Military Honors will be accorded following the visitation. In keeping with Forrest’s wishes, cremation will follow the service and burial of his cremains will be at a later date.
