Garnett E Shields

Garnett E. Shields, 98, of Frankfort, died at 7:45a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born on March 30, 1917, in Ross County, the daughter of the late Harley F. and Mary C. Shoemaker Riehle. On June 20, 1942, she married Paul V. Shields who preceded her in death on June 15, 2009.

She is survived by one aunt; Grace Laing of Springfield, one sister-in-law; Mary Ellen Shields of Frankfort, two great nephews-in-law, one great niece-in-law. She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law; Arnold and Sarah Riehle, four sisters-in-law; Mildred Shields, Lourene Shields, Opal Allman and Ruth Keaton and one nephew-in-law and one niece-in-law.

Garnett attended the Bourneville Christian Union Church. A special thanks is extended to the staff of Heartland of Chillicothe who gave such comforting care to Garnett.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Dave Maughmer and Pastor Darrel Allmon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with Garnett's family at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service.
