Gary Seymour, 71, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully at 1:32a.m. on Sunday, at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1944 in Ross County to Russell E. and Evelyn (Conley) Seymour.

He is survived by six sisters, Juanita (Jack) Blazer of Frankfort, Bonnie (Don) Roberts of Florida, Joyce Chaffin of Chillicothe, Vicki Hager of Bainbridge, Brenda (Loy) Oberer of Chillicothe, Cindy (Ronnie) Bowdle of Chillicothe and one brother Don (Jerry) Seymour of Frankfort. Also, numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Les Griffey and Eugene Seymour, two sisters, Lena Strausbaugh and Annette Grandstaff.

Gary retired from Adena Medical Center after 26 years of dedicated service including the Chillicothe Hospital. He was affiliated with Fruit Hill and Brookside Church.

Gary lived his life as a man of few words, always thinking of others first, never complaining and a smile for everyone. He had numerous friends and touched many hearts. He will be sadly missed, but anyone who knew him will forever celebrate his life. The family would like to extend a thank you to the National Church Residences and a special thanks to a very kind hospice nurse, Jennifer. Also, Tim Miller and the Mennonite singers for your visits.

Funeral service will be held at 2p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call on the Seymour family on Wednesday from 6 to 8p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office, 5555 Frantz Rd, Dublin OH 43017.
