Geneva May Bobb

Geneva May Bobb, age 88 of Hillsboro died Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. She was born October 14, 1925 near Bainbridge, OH, the daughter of the late Verna T. and Emma (Cox) Morris. On January 7, 1943 she married James S. Bobb who preceded her in death on March 18, 2010.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Burgess of Leesburg; a son, Thomas R. Bobb of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Baker of Wilmington, Spencer C. (Maura) Burgess of Castle Rock, CO and Jill (Scott) Hasselbach of Snoqualmie, WA; five great grandchildren, Jacob and Spencer Burgess, Emma and Julianna Hasselbach and Jenna Baker; daughter-in-law, Kay Sharon Bobb of Winchester; sister, Ruth Burdell of Arizona; brothers-in-law, Paul and David (Terry) Bobb of Bainbridge; and sister-in-law, Evalene Morris of Beavercreek.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Larry J. Bobb; son-in-law, Spencer C. Burgess; two brothers, Lloyd and Ernest Morris; and three sisters, Jeanie Showers, Thelma Cook and Hazel Frangiosi.

Geneva was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro.

Graveside services will be held 1 pm Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Bainbridge Cemetery with Rev. Maurice Mitchell officiating. No calling hours will be observed. The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Humane Society 9331 St. Rt. 124 Hillsboro 45133.
