George Peter "GP" Burke
George P. Burke 38 of Royal Oak, MI formerly of Bainbridge passed from this life 8:10 am Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born August 26, 1977 in Chillicothe to George A. and Joy E. Benner Burke of Bainbridge.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his grandmother, Luellen Benner of Greenfield; sister, Elizabeth (Kevin) Arledge of New Martinsburg; brother, Ben (Holly) Burke of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Abby Arledge and Ethan and Emily Burke; numerous friends and his dog, Gracie.
GP was a 1995 graduate of Paint Valley High School and a 2000 graduate of Wright State University. He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed golfing.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Brookes officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with GP's family from 5-8 pm Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Wright State University Foundation 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy, Dayton, OH 45435 or the Paint Valley Athletic Boosters 7454 US Hwy 50 Bainbridge, OH 45612.
The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
