George E. Cawley

On January 14, 2014 at 12:10 am George Edward Cawley closed his eyes on this world to open them on the Kingdom of Heaven. He was born December 1, 1929 in Fayette County the son of the late Theodore R. and Nellie Rhoads Cawley.

On August 8, 1953 he married the love of his life, Barbara L. Purvis, who survives. He was a loving father to four children, Rhonda (James) Sollars, Kevin (Debby) Cawley, Lori (Craig) Barker and Shane (Tiffany) Cawley: a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Christopher Sollars, Karen (Mel) Richardson, Tyler and Derrick Wagoner, Jeremy (Erica), Trevor (Pamela) and Tristen Cawley; six great grandchildren that he cherished, Emily and McKenzie Evans, Sheldon and Grace Richardson and Ayla and Leah Cawley; one sister, Eva Jane Easterday and sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown Cawley.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James "Butter" Cawley.

George was a member of Chapel of Hope 12986 St. Rt. 41 North, Greenfield where the funeral services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014, with his much loved Pastor Rev. Randy Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday.

The SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.
