George A. Pollock Jr., 79, of Frankfort, died at 10:57p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his daughter's home. He was born on July 6, 1936 in Ross County, the son of the late George A. and Bernice "Nellie" Parrott Pollock Sr..
Surviving are his children, Tammy (Todd) Neff of Chillicothe, Brenda Cunningham of Chillicothe, Debra Graves of Lima, Randy Pollock of Chillicothe, and Jennifer Wendsnoski, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister, Sue (Dave) Shoults of Chillicothe, brother, Larry (Donna) Pollock of Greenfield, and his loyal dog companions. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Smith.
George was a member of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. He worked as a conductor for CSX for 41 years and retired in 1998.
A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville with military honors accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the Pollock family on Sunday from 3 to 5p.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home, PO Box 264, Frankfort OH 45628, to assist with expenses or to the Adena Cancer Center, 4435 State Route 159, Chillicothe OH 45601.
