Georgia Evelyn Glandon

Georgia E. Glandon, 89, of Frankfort, went home to be with the Lord and her family, at 10:10pm on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on April 6, 1928 in Vinton County, the daughter of the late George Dewey and Nettie Bobblett Glandon.

She is survived by two brothers, Junior D. (Beverly) Glandon Jr., Terry (Ruth) Glandon, both of Frankfort, three sisters-in-law, Sharon, Ruth, and Carolyn Glandon, one brother-in-law, John Smart, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including one niece, Evelyn Snyder of Chillicothe. Georgia was preceded in death by six brothers, Ivan, Lawrence, Teddy, Homer, Nolan and Michael Glandon, three sisters, Virginia R. Smart, Geraldine Pearl Glandon, and Oleta Glandon, and one nephew, John S. Smart.

Georgia was a 1946 graduate of Twin High School, Bourneville. She worked as a cook for Paint Valley High School and retired in 1990. She attended First Wesleyan Church, Chillicothe. She was a sweet lady who always thought of others first, and had a strong love for her family.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, June 19, 2017 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Rev. Fred Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Bobblett Cemetery, Londonderry, Ohio. Friends may visit with the Glandon family on Monday from 11am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Georgia’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
