Gloria Rosalie "Rosie" Huntsman

Gloria R. "Rosie" Huntsman, 76, of South Salem, died at 10:50 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her home. She was born on March 20, 1936 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Wert Penwell and Mary Arledge. She married Carl R. Huntsman on May 30, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1981.

She is survived by one daughter; Mary Gunter of South Salem, one daughter-in-law; Mary Huntsman of Valdosta GA, eight grandchildren; April, Shannon, Carrie, Melissa, Brandie, Billie, Todd and Heather, several great and great great grandchildren, four sisters; Pat Arledge, Jane Arledge, Bonnie Hilderbrand all of South Salem, Norma Stanforth of Martinsville, and one brother; Roland Stanforth of South Salem. She was preceded in death by two sons; Arnold and Carl Huntsman, two grandsons; Heath and Carl, one great-grandson; Nicholas, and one son-in-law; Rocky Gunter.

Rosie had worked at the Edgewood Manor, Greenfield, and at Candle-Lite in Leesburg.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 1 p.m., in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Pastor James Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
