Goldie Mae Jones

Goldie Mae Jones, 91, of Frankfort, died at 6:35 a.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Chillicothe Transitional Care Center. She was born on May 22, 1922 in Portsmouth. Her mother, Viola Madden Pierce and step-father Charles Pierce preceded her in death. On November 22, 1945 she married Leonard C. Jones Sr., and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1996.

Surviving are her children, Leonard Jones Jr. of Daytona FL, Carolyn M. Jones of Chillicothe, Paul (Cindy) Jones of Spicewood TX, Richard (Barbara Sue) Jones of Frankfort, seven grandchildren, Pete and Jason Jones, Kari Kennedy, Joseph, Rebekah, Rachal and Caleb Jones, five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kasey, Tyler, Alexis, and MacKenzie, and two great-great-grandchildren, Levi and Bentley. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Larry A. Kline, and one brother, Carlis Russell.

Goldie attended Sunrush Church of Christ, Chillicothe, and loved flowers and birds.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 1 p.m. at EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Bob Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Springlawn Cemetery, Williamsport. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
