Harold "Rummy" Rumbaugh

Harold N. “Rummy” Rumbaugh 83 of Rainsboro passed from this life Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at his home. He was born Sunday, April 23, 1939, in Xenia to the late Lester N. and Mildred Pearl (Sharp) Rumbaugh.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Karen J. (Kautz) Rumbaugh whom he married April 23, 1971. Also surviving is one son Tim (Brenda) Rumbaugh; three grandsons; one granddaughter; four great grandsons; several loving nieces and nephews; along with his dog Brandi and his horses Pearl and Molly.

In addition to his parents Harold was preceded in death by his daughter Kim Mullinix; a half-sister Marcella Smith and half-brother William Faha.

Harold was a member of the Scottish Rite and the Alpha Lodge 729 F&AM of Kettering. He was also a beekeeper and a retired farmer who loved traveling in his motorhome.

The family would like to give a special thanks to: Cindy Mustard for all she did to help during this difficult time; Pam Daniels with Promedica Hospice; and all those who prayed and brought food to the house.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday February 13, 2023 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Bill Wilson officiating.  Following the service Harold will be laid to rest in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Harold’s family from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
