Hazel I. Battles

Hazel I. Battles, 77, of Chillicothe, died at 8:04 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Signature Health Care Center, Chillicothe. She was born on October 31, 1937 in Carter County, KY, the daughter of the late Henry Harrison and Sallie Brown Messer. She married Sherrel Battles and he survives her.

Also surviving are her three sons; Michael (Ann) Ater of Sevierville, TN, Kevin Battles of Chillicothe, Charlie (Mindy) Battles of Frankfort, two grandchildren; Lucas Battles, Brandi Yeazel, great grandchild; Zane Yeazel, and one sister; Marvene Higginbotham of Frankfort.

Throughout the years, Hazel was a baby sitter for many children.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with with Pastor Jason Yoakum officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with Hazel's family on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
