Helen "Midge" VanMeter

Helen I. “Midge” VanMeter, 84, of Frankfort, died on Sunday evening, July 9, 2017 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on August 26, 1932, in Fayette County the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian L. Butler Bowdle. Midge married David G. VanMeter on May 16, 1952 and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2011.

She is survived by one daughter and her husband; Tina VanMeter and Russ Dickey of Chillicothe, one son and his wife; Mitchell G. and Debbie VanMeter of Frankfort, three granddaughters; Amanda Davis, Andrea VanMeter and Hollie Newlun, five great grandchildren; Kailey, Chloe, Madilyn, Caden and Noah, one sister; Patricia Long of Frankfort, two sisters-in-law; Ethel Ann Givens Hathaway of Frankfort and Phyllis Paxton of Kingston. She was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Bowdle. 

Midge was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to caring for her family.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Midge will be laid to rest beside her husband in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with Midge’s family on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
