Herressa Ann Purdom

Herressa A. Purdom, 89, of Circleville, formerly of Frankfort, died December 25, 2011 unexpectedly at her residence. She was born on July 3, 1922, in Ross County, the only child of the late Herbert E. and Laura Butler Dennewitz. On September 8, 1944 she married Waldo A. Purdom, who preceded her in death on January 15, 1988.

She is survived by a daughter; Marsha (Darwin) Graham of Circleville, son; Loren (Paula) Purdom of Wheelersburg, three grandchildren; Kristin Griebel of Springfield, Kimberly (Derrick) Hastler of Grove City, Tammy Purdom of Wheelersburg, one great grandchild; Sophia Caroline Hastler.

Herressa was a 1940 graduate of Unioto High School. She was a very devoted mother and wife, who helped her husband, Waldo, farm until they sold the farm and moved to Frankfort in 1966. She was a member of the Frankfort Presbyterian Church and a very devoted Christian.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Ted Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
