Hilda Jane Jackson

Hilda J. Jackson, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 3:56 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on September 7, 1942 in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Wardie and Kathleen Marie Beatty Ragland Sr.. On December 23, 1967 she married William Lawrence Jackson who preceded her in death on December 1, 1980.

 

Surviving are five daughters, Teresa J. Ragland, Robin E. Ragland, Joycelyn Jackson, all of Chillicothe, Krista Jackson, Karla Stephens, both of Greenfield, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Daisy Cosby of Chillicothe, Charlotte Wilson of Springfield, Arlene Garnes of Ashville, two brothers, Frank Ragland and Wardie Ragland Jr., both of Chillicothe, numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Logan and Darlene Ragland.

 

Hilda was a 1961 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked for General Electric, Circleville and retired after more than 30 years. Hilda was a member of the Roxabel Second Baptist Church, the Circle D bowling league of Circleville and the Shawnee Lanes bowling league of Chillicothe. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Hilda was an amazing and accomplished pianist and organist.

 

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Minister Quentin Ragland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Jackson family at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m..
