Howard F. Adams 86 of Bainbridge passed from this life Wednesday, June 30, 2021. He was born March 22, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio. The son of the late Franklin and Katherine (Glaze) Adams. On December 31, 2005 was preceded in death by his wife of 34yrs, Mildred Jeanette (Walley) Adams. In addition to his parents and wife Howard was predeceased by a son Doug Knisley and 3 sisters Marcie, Elaine and Sharon.
Howard is survived by 5 children, Dawn (Jeff) White, Ronda Bowles, William “Chip” (Karen) Knisley, Michelle (Jason) Ayres and Tara Adams; daughter-in-law Cinda Knisley; 10 grandchildren Jason, Ashley, Lindsey, Jered, Elizabeth, Blake, Megan, Holly, Justin and Makayla; 13 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; 6 brothers Arnie, Don, Wayne, Gary, Darrell (Anzio) and Farrell Adams.
Everyone loved Howard’s wit and sense of humor. He could tell some of the funniest stories and jokes; you never got tired of hearing them. Howard was a retired carpenter and member of the Local 200. He was part of the support staff at Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home for many years. Howard was also an avid outdoorsman until he was no longer able.
Howard was a member of the Chapel of Hope in Greenfield where the services will be held 5 pm Monday, July 5, 2021 with the Rev. Randy Abbott, Ron Sexton and Jeff Satterfield will be officiating. Cremation will follow and the burial of the cremains will take place in the South Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 pm until the time of the service Monday at the church.
