Howard Edward Penrod

Howard Edward Penrod 81 of Chillicothe died 3:10 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1933 in Ross County the son of the late Art and Rosetta Cochenour Penrod. On April 25, 1956 he married the former Emma Jane Hager, who survives.

He is also survived by his children, Vernice (Steve) Malone of Latham, Jerald Lee and Timothy Jay Penrod both of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Bob) Martin and Judy (Roger) Legg both of Chillicothe; brother, Dwight Penrod of Bainbridge; 2 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents Howard was predeceased by a son, Howard E. Penrod, Jr., grandson, Caleb Penrod and a brother, Ronald Penrod.

Howard was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for the Railroad and he loved to hunt and fish.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Howard's family Saturday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
