Irene Garman

Irene Garman, 81, of Hillsboro, died at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Highland District Hospital, Hillsboro. She was born on November 25, 1933 in Greenup County KY, the daughter of the late Everrett and Ethel Hale Justice. On April 12, 1951 she married Roland Scott Gilmore who preceded her in death on October 10, 1991. She then married Walter Garman, who preceded her in death on February 28, 2014.

Surviving are two children, Vicki (Stephen) Fligor of Greenfield, Bruce (Debbie) Gilmore of Allen TX, step daughter Linda (Dan) Speakman of Hillsboro, three step sons, Bruce Garman of New Vienna, Gary (Jeannie) Garman of Wilmington, and Jeff (Kim) Garman of Cincinnati, six grandchildren, Shane, Amy, Jess and Kacie Fligor, Brian and Eric Gilmore, four step grandchildren, Brad Garman, Matt Carman, Carly (Andrew) Nicholas, Jonathan Garman, and, fifteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and two sisters, Faye (Roy) Hill of Frankfort, and Joyce (Charles) Grieves of Florida. Irene was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Justice.

Irene was a 1951 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked as a book keeper for several businesses in Washington Court House. Irene was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church, and was a bridge player at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with Irene's family at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m..
