Ivan L. Glandon, 85, of Frankfort, went to be with his Lord with his family by his side at 11:40a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his home. He was born on February 25, 1926 in Commercial Point, OH, the son of the late George Dewey and Nettie Boblett Glandon. On March 22, 1963, he married the former Ruth Carter, who survives.
Also surviving are his children; Matthew Lane (Susan) Glandon of Clarksburg, Scott Edward (Amy) Glandon, Amy Ruth (Todd) Thomas, Joseph Patrick (Amy) Glandon all of Frankfort, grandchildren; Megan Elizabeth Glandon, Carter Jacob and Caroline Faith Glandon, Benjamin, James, and Jonathan Lane Thomas, Katie Ayvonne and Aaron Joseph Glandon, one sister; Georgia Glandon of Frankfort, two brothers; George D. Glandon Jr. and Terry F. Glandon both of Frankfort, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Ivan was a farmer. He served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Chillicothe.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11a.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, FRANKFORT with his nephew, Dr. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with military honors accorded by the Frankfort American Legion Post 483.
