J. Wayne May

J. Wayne May 75 of Bainbridge passed from this life 3:25 am Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born May 10, 1947, in Waverly, OH the son of the late Clyde and Louree Penn May.

He is survived by his wife Mary Buchanan May; sons Wayne (Tara) May, Jr. and Jamie (Helen) May; stepchildren Rebecca Sink, Daryl  Gunter, Mark Gunter, Jennifer Cleeton and Amanda Rose; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sister Catherine (Paul) Gibson; brother Curtis May (Paula Beavers) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Irene Kilb May and a sister Verna Fairly.

Wayne was an active member of the Bainbridge Church of Christ, and he was a retired serviceman for Sears.  He enjoyed making sinkers and selling them at all the local bait shops. He also liked playing Spicy Farkle and Dominos with family and friends. He also enjoyed helping his son build a cabin taking over 14 months to finish but he never missed a day.

Graveside services will be held 1 pm Thursday, November 10, 2022, in the Twin Township Cemetery with Mike Bridenbaugh officiating. No calling hours will be observed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bainbridge Church of Christ PO Box 261 Bainbridge, OH 45612.
