Jacob "Jake" David Bandy

Jacob "Jake" David Bandy 25 of Cynthiana, Ohio died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from a tractor accident. Jake was born July 7, 1998 in Chillicothe, Ohio.

He is survived by his parents Anthony G. and Loretta Faye (Huff) Bandy of Waverly; his girlfriend Abby Preston; his daughter Lillian Faye Bandy and Amelia Michelle Graham, who was like a daughter to him and their mother, Shania Graham; his brother Ryan Bandy of Alaska; grandparents Larry and Alice Huff of Cynthiana and Janice Bandy of Waverly; several aunts, uncles and cousins including Larry "Jr" (Jenny) Huff; Roger and Dale Ferguson; his biological father Shawn D. Dillon; a niece and a nephew and numerous friends.

Jake was preceded in death by his grandfather Fred Bandy.

Jake attended Pike Christian Academy before going to Piketon High School and Pike CTC, where he was in the graduating class of 2017. He was an owner/operator truck driver and mechanic. Jake enjoyed riding his Harley, 4 wheeling, snowboarding and water sports. He was also a member of the Ironsides Social Riders.

Jacob’s heart and the love he had for his family and friends cannot accurately be put into words. Those that knew him are not without a memory of a time that he helped them. He could turn a wrench on anything and get it running. 

Jake worked tirelessly to help his friends and provide for his family. God’s love was in Jake and he did God’s work by helping anyone who needed him. We should all be inspired to be as selfless as Jake. 

He had the most beautiful smile and spirit. His laughter and the light that shined around him when he smiled would brighten the darkest room. 

His heart and beautiful soul were just too big for this world. Jake will be terribly missed and never forgotten. We love you forever, Jake. 

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Monday July 24, 2023, at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Pastor Dave Stulley officiating. Following the service Jake will be laid to rest in the Cynthiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 pm until the time of service Monday at the Funeral Home.
