Jacqueline E. "Jackie" Wolford, 85, of Frankfort, died at 8:37pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Vineyards at Concord, Frankfort. She was born on July 23, 1930 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Harold T. "Jack" and Mary Louise Sellers Thacker. On September 5, 1948 she married Homer Q. Wolford, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1983.
Surviving are her children, Caryl L. (Michael) Murphy of Chillicothe, Terry Coyle of Chillicothe, Ralph T. "Ted" (Melissa) Wolford of Frankfort, three grandchildren, Samantha Wolford, Jacob Wolford, and Lisa Coyle, two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Faith, sister Rosemary (David) Kruger of Bellbrooke OH, four brothers, Phillip Thacker of Chillicothe, Paul (Valerie) Thacker of Hilliard, Jim Thacker of Columbus, and John Thacker of Sacramento CA. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Schuer, and one brother, Harold Thacker.
Jackie was a graduate of Frankfort High School in the class of 1948. She worked in production at Durable Products, was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. Jackie was a member of the Frankfort American Legion Auxiliary, and was an EMT for Concord Township Squad. She was a member of the former Concord Chapter 520 Order of the Eastern Star where she was Past Worthy Matron, and was active in the state offices of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a current member of the Chillicothe Chapter 419 Order of the Eastern Star. Jackie was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America and loved to travel, having taken several cruises with her family.
Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, June 27, 2016 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Wolford family at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8pm. An Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 7:45pm.
