Jakob "Jake" Douglas Merritt

Jakob D. "Jake" Merritt, 28, of Greenfield, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. He was born November 19, 1986 in Washington Court House, the son of Philip and Karen James Merritt of Greenfield who both survive.
Also surviving is one brother; Justin Merritt of West Chester, one sister; Jesus Merritt and her fiancAC., Kyle Litteral of Hilliard, maternal grandparents; Doug and Peg James of Waters, MI, his aunt; Lori Puffinbarger of Bloomingburg and numerous aunts and uncles. Jake is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Carl and Gladys Merritt.
Jake was a 2004 graduate of Miami Trace High School where he played football. He spent most of his time working construction with his dad.
In keeping with the family's wishes cremation will be observed. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Greenfield is serving the family.
