James W. Echard Jr

James "Jim" W. Echard Jr. 67 of Chillicothe passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 suddenly and unexpectedly after several years of failing health. He was born June 8, 1948 in Ross County the son of the late James W. Echard and Mary (Collier) Echard.

He is survived by his children, Bonnie (Rick) Sims of Jeffersonville, James E. Echard of Jeffersonville, Steve (Rhonda) Echard of Chillicothe and James W. Echard III of California; grandchildren, Amber (Brian) Schiller of Washington CH, Gary Penwell, Jr. (Brittany Perkins) of Washington CH, James E. Echard, Jr. (Casey Jones) of Chillicothe, Hank Echard of Arizona, Steve Echard Jr. of Chillicothe, Sarah Echard (Mike Brown) of Chillicothe, Kevin Sturgill (Sara Barger) of Jeffersonville, Tabitha Echard, James W. Echard IV and Grant Echard all of California; great grandchildren, Brayden Schiller of Washington CH, Releigh Echard, Ryleigh Echard and Jameson Echard of Chillicothe, James, Katelyn and Brantly Sturgill of Jeffersonville; his siblings, Louise (Harry) Conley of Bainbridge, Eugene Echard of Chillicothe, Mike (Cindy) Echard and Tara Jones (DJ) of Chillicothe and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousins Judy Houser and Sue Anne (Echard) Kerns

In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by 4 sisters, a brother and a granddaughter.

Mr. Echard served in The United States Marine Corp as a Corporal during Vietnam receiving his Honorable Discharge. He was also a mechanic most of his life.

At Mr. Echard's request there will be no calling hours observed. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
