James D. Hiser

James Dwayne Hiser, 65, of Greenfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 3, 2013 at 11:35 a.m. in the comfort of his home and family. He was born August 21, 1947, in Leesburg to the late Marion and Garnet Seitz Hiser.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Roll Hiser and children: Erika (Shawn) Conger of Washington CH, Brock (James Mick) Roll of Columbus, and Brandon Roll of Greenfield; brothers: Terry Hiser of Greenfield and Danny Hiser of Wilmington; grandchildren: Racheal, Nathan and Skyler Hester, Christopher, Shawna and Mason Conger, Maura Roll; one great grandchild: Haltun Lewis and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was a rock for his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and would do anything to help someone in need. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Jim served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Specialist Four E and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, CMBAT Medical Badge, Vietnam Sevice Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Jim worked as a certified blaster and worked in that career for 37 years.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with military honors accorded by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield, c/o James Walker, 232 Edgewood Ave., Greenfield, OH 45123. No calling hours will be held.
