James W. Metzger, 58, of Washington C.H., died at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Pickering House, Lancaster. He was born on January 6, 1954 in Chillicothe the son of the late Charles W. and Pauline Pelfrey Metzger.
Surviving are four sisters; Paulette (Phil) Mowbray of Grand Junction, CO, Mary (William) Smith of Mansfield, Charlene (Douglas) Burns of Washington C.H., Emily (Charles) Wilson of Lancaster, one brother; Joseph (Pamela) Metzger of Washington C.H., twelve nieces and nephews, twenty-one grand nieces and nephews, one aunt; Phyllis Clinebell of Denver CO, two uncles; Ray Pelfrey of Reno NV, Charles Pelfrey of NC, and a host of cousins and extended family.
Jim was a 1972 graduate of Adena High School and had worked for Midland Grocery in Washington C.H.. Jim attended Center Christian Church in Jeffersonville, and spent the last several years as the primary caregiver to his mother, Pauline.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.. Memorial contributions are suggested to Adena Hospice, 111 W.
