James Philip "Jim" Miner

James P. "Jim" Miner, 53, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, May 10, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on December 21, 1962 in Chillicothe, the son of Philip J. and Kay Lane Miner.
He is survived by his mother, Kay Miner of Frankfort, two sons, Layne Bobb and Logan Bennett-Miner, the mother of his children, Shana Bennett, all of Clarksburg, his brother and best friend, Jay (Jeanette) Miner, and two nephews, Jayson and Jonathan Miner of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip J. Miner.
Jim was a 1981 graduate of Adena High School. He worked as a farmer and for the Frankfort Village Water Co.. Jim was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Ohio Farm Bureau, NRA, Pheasants Forever and was a founding member of the Little Creek Gun and Rod Club. He was an avid outdoors-man and loved hunting, four-wheeling, and raising cattle.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with Jim's family in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Friday from 5 to 7 pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Concord Township EMS, PO BOX 616, Frankfort, OH 45628.
