James M. Wayland, 79, of Frankfort, died at the Wexner Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus on Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was born on July 15, 1936 in Ross County, the son of the late Frank P. and Mabel Mossbarger Wayland. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Sandra "Sue' Riley.
Also surviving are three children; Joda (Russell) Junk of Frankfort, Fonda (Scott) Zurmehly of Clarksburg, Kevin (Ginny) Wayland of Frankfort, five grandchildren; Jaime (Shawn) Bossert, Troy Junk, Zach Zurmehly, Bethany (Ryan) Givens, Jordan Wayland, one great grandson; Caden Bossert, one sister; Mary Hooks of Frankfort, one brother; Robert (Violet) Wayland of Frankfort, one sister-in-law; Sharon Cloud of Seven Lakes, NC, a half sister-in-law; Eva Riley and two half brothers-in-law; Bill and Tim Riley. Jim is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Wayland and one brother-in-law; Harold Hooks.
Jim was a 1955 graduate of Frankfort High School. He retired as a car foreman from the C & O Railroad where he had worked for 45 years.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, no services will be held. He will be buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of one's choice. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
