James L. "Jim" Wilson

James L. “Jim” Wilson, 70, of Greenfield, died at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Tuesday, July 3, 1951, in Greenfield, the son of James L. and Joan Carter Wilson.

He is survived by his aunt, who was like a mother to him, Joann Moorehead, his father, James Wilson of Fincastle, one son, Richard “Bub” Wilson of Greenfield, his longtime companion and her sons, Nancy Wilson and Caleb and Jacob Williams, his favorite daughter-in-law, Jessie, four grandchildren, Miriya Daniels, Asia and Kayla Penn and Bristol Williams. He was preceded in death by one son, James Wilson.

Jim was a 1969 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War. Jim served as a Police Officer with the City of Greenfield for many years.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20,2021 in the South Salem Cemetery conducted by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield and the US Air Force.
