James E. Yoder

James E. Yoder, 74, of Leesburg, died at 2:50 a.m., Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Highland District Hospital, Hillsboro. He was born on Friday, June 3, 1949, in Fostoria, Ohio, the son of the late Dale Clinton and Myrtle Louise James Yoder.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Smith Tanner, daughter; Kristin (Jamie) Parks of Columbus, son; James (Julie) Yoder of Fremont, daughter; Kera (Scott) Kalseth of Florida and daughter, Brianne (Timothy) Dreher of Leesburg, eight grandchildren; Brady and Kellan Parks, Greyson, Anderson, and Weston Kalseth, Katelyn Yoder, Blake and Olivia Dreher, one sister; Martie (Rick) Ayers of Fremont, Ohio.

Jim was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and had attended Terra State Community College. He had worked as a lineman for a telephone company and retired from the Nokia Company. Jim was an avid HAM Radio operator and had just attended a HAM Fest in May. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
