Jean Acton

Jean Acton, 93, of Frankfort, died at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Vineyards of Concord, Frankfort. She was born on Thursday, June 2, 1927 in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Grant and Mary Weaver Garrison. On May 6, 1944 she married Dane Vernon Acton who preceded her in death on February 9, 1975.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet K. Young of Frankfort, eight grandchildren: Lori Lemaster, Bobbie Phillips, Tammy Pollard, Patricia K. Wilson, Stanley Lee Roberts, Michael Dane Acton, and Carrie Acton, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Johnson, one son, Vernon Michael Acton, one grandson, David Allen Roberts, four sisters, and one brother.

Jean retired after working for 25 years at US Shoe Factory, Greenfield. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 62, and AmVets Post 4, Chillicothe.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Greenlawn Cemetery Frankfort, with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Those in attendance must wear facial covering and observe social distancing. No public calling hours will be held.
