Jean F. Birchum Norvelle

Jean F. Birchum Norvelle, 88, of Greenfield, died at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at St. Catherine’s Manor Care Center, Washington Court House. She was born on September 3, 1928 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Ernest Stanley and Anna Elvira Haney Young. On May 10, 1946 she married Arthur Birchum who preceded her in death on April 1, 2008.

Jean is survived by two sons, Kirk (Wiladean) Birchum of Greenfield, Steve (Deborah) Birchum of Springfield, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Doris Sheline of Columbus and Helen Morrison of Pataskala. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Charles Norvelle Sr., and one brother, Ralph Young.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with Jean’s family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m..
