Jerry Glenn Bobb

Jerry G. Bobb, living life to the fullest, departed this life on July 20,2014 at the age of 72. He was surrounded by family at the Ohio State University Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on September 10, 1941, the son of the late Russell and Thelma Mills Bobb. On September 17, 1958 he married the former Karen "Kay" Johnson, who survives.

Also surviving are his children; Candy (Frank) Countryman, Rusty Bobb, Todd (Tabby) Bobb, Shannon (Vikki) Bobb and Daren (Stephanie) Bobb, grandchildren; Hillary, Hanna, Savannah, Phil, Kallie, Makenzie, Jake, Miranda (Nathan) Linsey, Nikki, Taylor, Canaan, Madison, Zoe, Ciera, Kamren and Dailyn, great-grandchildren; Seth, Cy, Brooklyn, Boston, Kimber, Layne, Payton, Tyler, Rhilyn, Jacob, Macy and Madalyn, siblings; Johnny, Jack, Sam and Linda, and a special friend, John McCoskey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and step father John Knisley.

He was a logger for many years and met several friends and loggers along the way. Once you held a conversation with him, you were left with a lasting memory of a one of a kind man and most likely a nickname. He was always leaving you with a smile. The love he had for all of his grandchildren was immeasurable. He enjoyed attending the races, where he shared memories of his children and himself and was proud to see the tradition continue in the family. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball and looked forward to family vacations around the country.

Funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the Bainbridge Church of Christ with Rev. Sammy Cooper officiating. Immediately following services, a celebration of life will take place at the Bobb family home. In accordance with Jerry's wishes, cremation will take place. Burial of the cremains will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the Bobb family at the church on Friday from 4 to 8p.m.. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, PO Box 485, Bainbridge OH 45612, to assist with expenses.
