Joan Johnson

Joan Johnson, 73, of Frankfort, died at 8:57 a.m., on Sunday July 19, 2015 at her home. She was born on December 24, 1941 in Ross County, the daughter of the late George and Kathryn Francis Drummond. On January 13, 1963, she married Frank Johnson and he survives.

Also surviving are her son, George Michael Johnson of Frankfort, sisters, Mary Louise Kinzer, Norma Jean Myers both of Greenfield, Becky Holt of Chillicothe, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friend, Bill Newland.

Joan was a 1960 graduate of Buckskin High School. She attended the Frankfort Presbyterian and United Methodist churches. Joan was past president of the Suburban Garden Club of Chillicothe, past president of the Frankfort Garden Club, a member of the Garden Club of Ohio and Garden Club of America. She was also a member and club organizer for the Modern Woodmen Club in Chillicothe. Joan volunteered at Mt Logan Schools and Adena Schools. Joan loved everybody she met and everybody loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Rev. Willard McCray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Johnson family at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m..
