John E. Cox

John E. Cox 96 of Bainbridge passed from this life Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Maple View Manor, Bainbridge.  He was born August 25, 1924 in Bainbridge the son of the late Wort S. and Daisey A. (Hodge) Cox.

John is survived by his wife Elizabeth L. (Johnson) Cox; daughter Carol Ann (Bill) Sharp; grandchildren Charles Parcels, Christopher Parcels and Heather Underwood: 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by a brother.

John was a proud Army Veteran of WWII; a member of the Bainbridge United Methodist Church and earlier in his life he enjoyed working on the farm for Clinton and Elizabeth Jones.

Graveside services will be held 11 am Thursday, November 12, 2020 in the Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. No calling hours will be observed. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face coverings will be required, and social distancing should be maintained.
