John W. "Jack" Kiser 87 of Bainbridge died 12 am Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 17, 1924 in Springfield, OH the son of the late Charles and Ruby Meagher Kiser. On January 26, 1957 he married A. Corinne Jones Kiser, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert A. (Melinda) Kiser of Bainbridge and Mike (Nancy) Kiser of Johnstown; three grandchildren, Jesse Parks, Christina and Roman Kiser.
He was predeceased by a sister, Virgina Womachs; brother, Charles Kiser and a grandchild, Brooks Parks.
Jack was retired from the Chillicothe VA and was an Army Veteran of WWII and member of the American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge. He had been a member of the former Bainbridge Presbyterian Church and was a current member of the Bainbridge Church of Christ. Jack was also a 50-year member of the Bainbridge Lodge 196 Free and Accepted Masons and the Royal Arch Masons of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Steve Alexander officiating Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Monday at the funeral home where the Masonic service will be held at 7 pm.
