John H. Stultz

John H. Stultz 89 of Bainbridge went to be with his Lord 2 am Friday, January 13, 2017 at Signature Health of Chillicothe. He was born October 17, 1927 in Ross County the son of the late John Henry and Gertrude Marie Mootispaw Stultz.

He is survived by his wife Pauline “Polly” Holovnichy Stultz; daughters, Lori (Rick) Blissenbach and Linda (Rodney Allen) Johnson; stepsons, Eric Binder and Kevon (Valerie) Binder; grandchildren, James (Angie) and Jonathan Blissenbach, Angie Johnson Sublett, Joshina Binder (Cory) Betz, Adam (Jenny), Kevon Ross (Anne) and Sean (Allyson) Binder; sister, Ada (Bill) Jordan; and many friends including his dear friend, Walley Graham.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Uhlig Stultz; son, Stephen John Stultz; sisters, Minnie and Lillian Countryman, Ruth Litterst, and Mary Stultz; brothers, Robert and Lewis Stultz.

John graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1944. He was an Army Airforce Veteran where he served for almost 7 years. Through the years he was a mail carrier and auctioneer. He also worked for Stockbrokers IDS and the Veterans Affairs. John was very instrumental in starting the Fall Festival of Leaves, Bainbridge Senior Citizens and the Bainbridge Assembly of God where he was a member. He was a current member and past president of the Salt Council. He was a past board member representing the senior citizen at Greenfield Hospital and he sat on the board for the 7th District 10 county Area Agency on Aging.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Bainbridge Assembly of God with Pastor Mark Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with John’s family from 11 am - 1 pm Saturday at the church.
