John R. Yoe, Jr.

John R. Yoe, Jr., 70, of Clarksburg, died at 5:20 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Thursday, December 6, 1951, in Chillicothe, the son of the late John R., Sr. and Juanita Brown Yoe.

Surviving are his three children, Justin R. Yoe of Clarksburg, Andrea Moore and Jonathan Yoe, both of Chillicothe, seven grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Rachel, Blake, Andrew, Macie and Riley, 5 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Vickie Earles, Cathy Sims, Trudy Woolett, Anita Lane, all of Frankfort, one brother, Scott Yoe of Chillicothe, a close friend, Randy Putnam, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Daxton Graves.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received a Bachelors Degree from Ohio University. John retired from the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he worked in the psychology department. He was member of the American Legion Post 62.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg where military honors will be accorded.
