Judy Ann Bowman

Judy Ann (Miller) Bowman, 74, of Bainbridge, OH left this life peacefully on October 19. 2016 to be united in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

     Judy was born on March 24, 1942, in Huntington Township, Ohio the only child of the late Rev. Lloyd W. and Lavonna Veral (Rinehart) Miller. On October 21, 1961, Judy was united in marriage to John M. Bowman with whom she spent 55 harmonious years. They opened their hearts and home to children, raising Jana L. Lauderman (Blain Bower), Jay A. Bowman (John French) and Amy Leigh Hodgekin (Jeremy Hodgekin).   In future years, they opened their hearts once more to include special daughter Laurie (Lt. Col. David) Kelley.

     In addition to her husband and children, Judy is survived by special grandchildren Josh French, Elijah Kelly, Sarah Kelley, Caroline Kelley, Noah Kelley, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  

     Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her dearest friend, Joy Davies and many aunts & uncles.

     Judy attended Huntington High School and graduated from Winchester High School in 1960.  In addition to being a homemaker, wife and mother she worked outside the home at serving the Paint Valley School district in several capacities. Music was her gift to and from God as she played and sang in numerous churches.

     She was raised in the Christian faith at Beulah Chapel CCCU and in recent years was a loyal member of Brookside CCCU.

     Judy’s happiness was strongly rooted in two things:  her love of the Lord and her family.  She lived with a reverent obedience to the calling of God, leaving her life in His hands.  In her last days, she witnessed to the doctors and nurses who cared for her at Adena Regional Medical Center. Judy’s desire was that all people learn of the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ. She faithfully carried the banner of the Lord until He called her to Heaven’s bright shore.

     Judy’s homecoming celebration will be held at Brookside CCCU at 11 AM, Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 with Rev. Jack Norman & Rev. Ralph Hux officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4-8 on Friday, Oct. 21.
