Julia Ann Yahraus

Julia A. Yahraus, 80, of Chillicothe, died at 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at her daughter’s home. She was born on Saturday, October 11, 1941, in Scioto County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sanford and Beulah Alexander Vaughn. On March 25, 1966, she married Larry L. Yahraus who preceded her in death on February 16, 2021.

Julia is survived by her daughter, Lisa (John) Warth of Frankfort, two grandchildren, Joe Warth of Grove City, Kacie (David) Swiggett of Frankfort, two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Micah Swiggett, two sisters, Freda (Charles) Ratcliff of Londonderry, Carolyn (David) Phipps of Chillicothe, three brothers, Sanford (Joyce) Vaughn of Pickerington, Richard (Vickie) Vaughn of Lancaster, David Vaughn of Greenfield, two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Darren) Maxim of Augusta ME, Karen Rapp of Columbus, several nieces and nephews, and a special friend and neighbor, Cheryl Johnson. She was preceded in death by one infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Vaughn, and two brothers, James and Jerry Vaughn.

Julia was a 1961 graduate of Chillicothe High School and she worked as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of the First Church of God, Chillicothe. Julia loved antique shopping and being outside. Her greatest joy was being with her family and supporting her grandchildren in all that they did. She was an avid animal lover and always had a pet that she spoiled rotten.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 9:00 AM in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Pastor Matt Roe officiating. Calling hours will not be held.
