Karen Sue Thompson

Karen Sue Thompson, 74, of Bamburg, South Carolina, died on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 3:33 p.m. in the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. She was born in Jamestown, Ohio on Sunday, September 8, 1946, the daughter of the late Thomas V. and Mildred E. Shope Mitchell. On September 13, 2011, she married Howard E. Thompson who preceded her in death on August 16, 2021.

She is survived by one sister, Rita Mitchell of Bainbridge, two brothers, David (Mary) Mitchell of Kettering and Thomas (Linda) Mitchell of Bainbridge. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Michelle Nevin and one brother, Donald Mitchell.

Karen worked at Thatcher Plastics until they closed and then worked at New Sabina Industries until she retired. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and gardening. Karen was always the first person to pitch in whenever someone needed help.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. She will be buried in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville. No services will be held. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is serving the family.
