Katherine I. "Kate" Watkins

Katherine I. Watkins 85, of Bainbridge died 6:30 AM Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at her home. She was born November 7, 1928 in Pike County the daughter of the late Floyd and Minnie Bushartz Rinehart. On March 4, 1945 she married John William Watkins, who died November 3, 2004.

Kate is survived by her children, James (Kathy) Watkins of Bainbridge and Judy (Shawn) Weatherford of Wilmington; grandchildren, Richard (Lisa) Watkins of Williamsport, Christie (Russell) May of Waverly and Judy Ann Roberson of Wilmington; four great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby (Norm) Jones of Kenton and Joyce Peirce of Chillicothe; brother, Bobby Clifford of Waverly; and a dear friend and neighbor, Betty Lambert.

She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.

Kate alongside her husband was owner and operator of Watkins Truck and Parts of Bainbridge.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. The Watkins family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
